In recent years, the Tweed Valley has become a world class destination for mountain biking. There's something for everyone and all abilities:  Whether you want to explore beautiful XC routes or tackle the Golfie's toughest trails. 

If you are looking for a local guide or would like to improve your MTB skills, there are a number of fantastic mountain bike coaching companies in Innerleithen. Ridelines are an award-winning company that offer private or group tuition and guided rides.

If you choose to explore the valley yourself, check out Bike Valley Trails for some inspiration. With a "Cyclists guide to the best road, gravel and MTB routes in the Tweed Valley", they have easy to follow route plans which include a description and downloadable OS map for a nominal fee.

Enjoy the multi-use path that runs between Peebles and Walkerburn just minutes’ walk from our site. Popular with locals and visitors alike, this beautiful path follows the famous salmon and trout River Tweed and provides access to the famous mountain biking areas. Expect to see a profusion of wildflowers in Spring and Summer and an abundance of wildlife all year round.
